Chicago International Children's Film Festival
Want to kick off your Labor Day weekend in family style? Then come to the historic Portage Theater, located at 4050 N. Milwaukee in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood, a half-block northwest of Six Corners, at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, September 3rd, to see an 80-minute shorts program featuring 10 of the best films from the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. This one-of-a-kind collection of culturally diverse, non-violent, and value affirming works are sure to inspire lively discussions, especially with children ages 5 to 9 (K-3). The films — from Japan, Ireland, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Sweden, and the USA — each run from three to 10 minutes. Ticket prices are $3 for adults and $1 for children under 10. Concessions will be available.
