9:00 am - 1:00 pm

It's Pumpkin Time! Our Wisconsin farmer is bringing his wonderful pumpkins, gourds and exotic garlic to the market. And it's prime apple and pear season, in addition to all those wonderful autumn vegetables. There's plenty of prepared on site foods: sweet or savory crepes, empanadas, tapas, and freshly brewed coffee. Of course, who can pass up pastries, baguettes, honey, spices, flower bouquets, meats (including Halal lamb), eggs, flours, jams, jellies, gluten-free baked goods, gluten-free vegan candies, salsas and sauces, olives, spices, Mirai corn, seasoned nuts and so much more that right at the market. The O'Hare School of Irish Dance will perform at 10:30 am; the bluegrass musicians love playing and invite you to join them; the Children's Craft Class has two projects from 10 am to noon. Please bring canned goods, packaged food items, personal hygiene products, school supplies, paper towels and toilet paper to donate to the Irving Park Food Pantry. You can also donate market produce to the Lydia Home that the kids there get a better diet. www.independence-park.com
