The Fabulous Fable Factory Saturday, March 9th, 10:00 a.m. Irving Park Lutheran Church 4100 N. Harding Ave. “The Fabulous Fable Factory” tells the story of 12-year-old Monroe who wanders into an abandoned factory and accidentally trips a lever activating a living factory of fable creators. This musical adventure follows Monroe as he helps the fable makers re-create some of Aesop’s most famous fables, such as “The Ant and the Grasshopper,” “The Tortoise and the Hare,” and “The Lion and the Mouse.” An enjoyable show for the young and the young at heart, the bright and charming songs will intrigue the audience and the morals will invite thought and discussion. The performance will be held at Irving Park Lutheran Church, 4100 N Harding Ave. The show is free of charge, but donations will be accepted gladly. The performance will be followed by a juice and cookie reception with the actors, hosted by the Irving Park Fine Arts Committee. The “Fabulous Fable Factory” was created by American Eagle Productions, a Chicago children’s troupe specializing in children’s classics. The Fine Arts Committee has hosted past performances by American Eagle Productions, including “Charlotte’s Web,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” and “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” The Irving Park Fine Arts Committee is in its 19th season of bringing high quality, professional musical and theatrical events to the Irving Park neighborhood.
