Winter Fest at Independence Park

The Independence Park Advisory Council (IPAC) will host a Winter Fest on Saturday, February 28, starting at 11 a.m. Assuming the weather cooperates, the Winter Fest will feature competitions and activities such as snowman-building contests, snow shoe races, and even a professional ice carver who will sculpt a penguin or maybe an eagle from a big block of ice. Bring along accessories—carrots, twigs, an old scarf and hat—to make your snowman the handsomest in the park. Hot cocoa and snacks will be served in the Women’s Building.
